Understanding of godIn my experience, god is not a being. He is a phenomenon. I would rather like to call it godliness — a phenomenon rather than a person, as many have experienced and shared. The presence of god cannot be proved by logic because he is not a physical person. I believe that god is an omnipresent energy, a continuum. It can only be experienced, often in the utmost moments of silence.Religious practices I don’t follow any so called religious practices. I believe that religion is widely misunderstood by the masses. People have exploited religion for centuries and the true essence of religion has been forgotten. There are over 300 religions in the world which preach different practices but only one science which teaches only one practice. I believe in being religious — being true and receptive to yourself and the existence around, that is the true practice of religion. Spiritual beliefsI believe that spirituality is your inner being, your true face, that nobody in the world knows except you. Being spiritual is being closer to yourself, being closer to your true core. Spirituality has nothing to do with any kind of practice or ritual. It is a phenomenon of communion, a togetherness with yourself, with the world, the sky and the stars. Pilgrimage spots I have visited many pilgrimage spots of various religious faiths. I have found that there are some such spots with loads of meditative energy and that are not dependent on any religious faith in particular. I have found the temples in Khajuraho of a special meditative quality.MiraclesI find miracles in the beauty of the flowers, the expanse of the universe, the freshness of the morning air. They are all miracles. I think we confuse miracles with magic, which is unreal and artificial.Meditation and awarenessI think being aware of yourself, is the first religious thing that you can do to a meditative journey towards greater spirituality.
