Understanding spirituality: I believe in one god who is the controller of the entire universe. To me, spirituality is different from ritualism. I feel that God almighty is omni present. The spirit in each and every living being is part of God. So, a truthful life and good deeds are the best ways to connect with God. I am very spiritual but again spiritualism is different from being religious.Spritual practicesMy spiritual practices include meditation, truthful living, community service and charity. I have acquired them from my parents who believe in Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of the Sikhs, which comprises the thoughts of all the wise men of the Sufi era irrespective of caste, creed or religion. Following these practices is a part of my life and they have been imbibed in me ever since I was a child. It has benefitted me in many ways. I am content with whatever I have and consider myself blessed.Miracles and godmen:I believe in the power of prayers. As far as I'm concerned, I don't consider anybody who has taken birth on this planet as God. Such people can be preachers or wise men.Favourite holy placesI have no favourites as such. However, I have been to quite a few religious places which include Golden Temple, Shirdi and Ajmer Shariff. I would love to visit as many places as I can.(Rakul is Femina Miss India People's Choice 2011, a model and an actor)
