Grammy winner Ricky Kej sets a Guinness world record with his rendition of the national anthem

Grammy winner Ricky Kej created a Guinness world record with his grand rendition of the national anthem. The musician on Wednesday released his new version of the National Anthem for the public.

Taking to X, Kej shared the song’s video and wrote, “Honored to share my epic rendition of our National Anthem of India (Bharat). Featuring top legendary Indian musicians – a 100 piece British Orchestra and a choir of 14000 tribal children! We even won a Guinness World record :-)”

“Please share, watch, use, but with respect. It is yours now, my humble gift to every Indian everywhere. Jai Hind! Happy #IndependenceDay2024,” he added.

He further informed that the song featured Pt Hariprasad Chaurasia, Rakesh Chaurasia, Amaan & Ayaan Ali Bangash, Rahul Sharma, Jayanthi Kumaresh, Sheik and Kaleeshabi Mahaboob, Giridhar Udupa, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (UK), Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences.

The video features 14,000 children forming a map of India and the word ‘Bharat’ in Hindi and English. The achievement symbolises the unity and diversity of India, showcasing the nation’s rich cultural heritage and the limitless potential of its youth, the musician claimed.

In 2023 as well, Kej conducted the largest-ever Symphony Orchestra comprising the 100-piece Royal Philharmonic Orchestra from the UK to perform the Indian National Anthem at Abbey Road Studios, London. The same was released on August 14, a day before India’s 77th Independence Day.
