Higher Education Council reconstituted

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former diplomat T P Sreenivasan and P Anwar, Professor at the MES college of Arts and Science, Mampad, have been appointed by the State Govt as the Vice-Chairman and Member-Secretary respectively of the reconstituted Kerala State Higher Education Council. The Executive Council has Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb as the Chairman. The Council has five part-time members, one VC and a Higher Education Secretary as other members. CUSAT University VC is learnt to be in the Council this time. The term of the former Council led by Dr K N Panikkar ended on Sept 15. Since then, discussions were on to prepare the new list of Council’s non-permanent members.
