VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation has come up with an initiative to educate children on the rich culture and heritage of our state. As part of it, the APTDC will organise a one-day educational trip for the inmates of social welfare hostels free of cost.Responding to the proposal made by special chief secretary for primary education Chandana Khan, the government has asked the APTDC to organise the tour programme. APTDC Vijayawada divisional manager J Raghupati Rao said: “We have come up with the tour programme to make the children understand our rich heritage better. We will take 100 hostel inmates of 7th class to SSC in APTDC or RTC buses to the places of historical significance and cultural importance. Initially, we are planning to organise the educational trip for students once a year.”
