Houses of MLM firm franchisees raided

VIJAYAWADA: A team of CID sleuths, led by DSP YV Ramana Kumar raided the houses of Speak Asia Online Limited franchisees D Srinivasa Reddy and LVA Swamy here on Sunday and seized laptops, desktop computers, bank passbooks and other incriminating documents pertaining to the activities of the multi level marketing company.It is stated that the Singapore based company has not obtained any permission to do business in India.  According to the CID, it has a membership of over 30,000 in the state. Each member has to pay Rs 11,000.  The members have to conduct a market survey of two different products. The company pays Rs 5,000 for each survey.  If a member admits a new member, the company will pay him Rs 1,000. Later, it will pay Rs 75 per week.CID SP Mahender Kumar Rathod said the raids on the houses of the franchisees were conducted based on a complaint by some people against the multi level marketing company based in Singapore.
