HYDERABAD: Transport minister Botcha Satyanarayana strongly reacted to the remarks made by YSR Congress party honorary president YS Vijayalakshmi in her maiden speech in the the state legislative Assembly on Monday and criticised her for supporting the no-confidence motion moved by TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in their attempt to cause downfall of the Kiran Kumar government.Satyanarayana, who is also the state Congress chief, recalled that it was chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy who was the Congress chief whip who had fought for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the Assembly when Chandrababu Naidu accused Jagan of killing TDP leader Paritala Ravi.“How can you (Vijayalakshmi) support Naidu who introduced no-confidence motion against the Kiran Kumar Reddy government? It is unfortunate that some Congress MLAs too joined Vijayamma in voting against the government,” he remarked. The PCC chief said that no person in the Congress party wanted to cut off the relations with YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s family as everybody in the party had a high regard for the former chief minister. It was YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who quit the party to fulfil his ambition of becoming chief minister, the minister said and alleged that Jagan wanted to take advantage of his father’s position for political mileage to become chief minister which was a democratic post.
