Bangalore: Director-actor Amol Palekar says that he will go for the second Test between India and West Indies at Wankhede on November 14 because he is a huge cricket fan.
"I will go to Wankhede, not because Sachin is playing his last match but I am a great cricket buff and I love the nuances of not only Tests, but also Ranji matches," he told reporters here.
"While shooting, there is a great turmoil in the unit when I am watching a cricket match during breaks. My wife complains of this - have you come to watch cricket or for shooting. That's how I am so much excited about cricket," he added.
Palekar, also a producer, said he wants to be at Wankhede Stadium to enjoy the nuances of cricket like he used to watch his favourite player Gundappa Vishwanath playing the late-cut or left-arm spinner Bapu Nadkarni bowling heaps of maiden overs.
"I asked Vishy whether today's generation loved the nuances of cricket? To me it is a great pleasure to watch Bapu Nadkarni bowling eight consecutive maidens and Vishwanath playing a late cut," he said.
