THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Thampanoor Police have issued a lookout notice for two people - Ernakulam native Sushil and Thrissur native Sethu - who had cheated nearly Rs 1.5 crore from 450 students by promising them jobs abroad and demanding money for the same. According to the police, the duo have been running a travel agency in the name of Trivandrum Air Travels and Tours in Dharmalayam road, Thampanoor. The agency had placed advertisements in dailies regarding jobs in Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai and Kuwait. They collected applications from students across the State and accepted huge amounts from them promising them the jobs. The police say that nearly Rs 1.5 crore was collected from the students. The duo are, however, absconding and the Thampanoor police have registered a case and the investigation has begun.
