CHENNAI: Disciple of Danseuse Urmila Sathyanarayanan, Vinisha Kathiravan, enthralled the audience with her captivating solo bharatanatyam recital during the inaugural ceremony of 24th Yuva Utsav of Bharat Kalachar recently.Vinisha’s performance was a captivating audio-visual treat with accompanists Guru Bharadwaj on the mirudangam, Ramana on the flute, Saikripa Prasanna on the nattuvangam, and Jothimathi on vocals. However, the performance on Bhavayami Raghuram won her appreciation from exponents in the field.Vinisha’s upcoming events include her performances in Chennayil Thiruvaiyaru, Bharathi Vidya Bhavan, Naradha Natya Vizha, Narada Gana Sabha and also a Carnatic concert with Sudha Raghunathan in ‘Radio One’ next month. Her future performances include Panchali Sapatham with her guru in Bharath Kalachar and Naradha Gana Sabha, next year.
