Munich: Shiv Kapur played a sensational front nine en route to a six-under 66 that left him tied 10th after the penultimate round of the BMW International Open at Golfclub Munchen here.
Kapur could well have been placed better but for a bogey on the 17th hole. Kapur has a three-day total of nine-under 207.
Kapur's 66 was his best since the 65 he shot in second round of the Avantha Masters in February, where he finished ninth, his best so far this season.
He began with two pars and then had three birdies in a row from third to fifth before adding an eagle on the par-five sixth. He had yet another birdie on the ninth to turn in six-under 30.
On the back nine, the birdies dried up, with just one on the 16th to make him seven-under, but he gave one shot back on the 17th and finished at 66.
Jeev Milkha Singh had earlier missed the cut with rounds of 76 and 73.
England's Mark Foster took a two shot lead into the final round after firing a 66. The 35-year-old has won only once in 278 starts and that was eight years ago.
He stood 14-under and saw his advantage doubled when joint halfway leader George Coetzee finished his 70 with a bogey six.
Coetzee is in a tie for second with compatriot Retief Goosen (67), England's Robert Coles (65) and Spanish pair of Pablo Larrazabal (69) and Sergio Garcia - up from 30th with a best-of-the-day 64.
