A first year student at Farook college, Kozhikode was suspended for protesting against the norm that girls and boys are not allowed to sit together in college campus.

Thiruvananthapuram: A college in Kerala had suspended a student who dared to question its rule that boys and girls should not sit together.

A first year student at Farook college, Kozhikode was suspended for protesting against the norm that girls and boys are not allowed to sit together in college campus.

The incident happened on October 20 and the student was suspended on October 29.

Nine boys and girls were sitting together chatting and a teacher asked them to sit separately or go out of the class. All of them walked out. They were asked to bring their parents and apologise. All others did it except Dinu and his father. His father said that he will not apologise as his son had done nothing wrong.
