The stage has been set for another day of confrontation in Parliament between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Opposition parties. The Congress and the BJP had on Thursday issued whips asking all MPs of the Rajya Sabha to be present in the House on Friday.
The Congress party's whip was issued amidst a view in the party that the government may try and push through some legislative measures. Several MPs from the BJP led coalition met Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari and demanded that action be taken against those who are disrupting the House.
