Shanti Bhushan raised the possibilty of the role of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in writing the arcticle in his name.

New Delhi: Mail Today Editor Sandeep Bamzai has apologised to senior lawyer Shanti Bhushan for publishing an article on Aam Aadmi Party with his name. An article allegedly written by Shanti Bhushan was published on Friday in Mail Today in which he had purportedly criticised Aam Aadmi party's (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal.

Bamzai tweeted, "We have been had, our deepest apologies to Shanti Bhushan whose purported article has been carried on our edit page this morning (sic)."

"We have been duped by miscreants with a motive and sincerely apologise to Shanti Bhushan for carrying what was purportedly his article," Bamzai further tweeted.

In his tweet Bamzai also said, "We are now filing an FIR and would take legal action against the miscreants, we are equally victims in this matter, apologies to Bhushan."

Earlier, Shanti Bhushan had denied writing any article slamming Kejriwal in the newspaper editorial. Bhushan has allegedly written an article titled 'Kejriwal is on course to ruin 2014 for the BJP' in 'Mail Today/Daily mail'.

"It is a forged article. I have asked the editor of the magazine to file an FIR to find out who is behind it," Bhushan claimed.

Defending himself Bhushan said, "I will file a case on this forged editorial. The magazine never contacted me to write an editorial. I came to know about it in the morning. The editor was apologetic and he has agreed to file an FIR."

Claiming it to be a political conspiracy, Bhushan raised the possibilty of the role of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in writing the arcticle in his name. "This is a political conspiracy to malign AAP's image. It is possible that a BJP member could be behind the forged editorial,"

According to the article, Bhushan blamed Kejriwal for split in Team Anna. He said Kejriwal has hidden his political ambitions under the garb of fighting an anti-corruption movement. He also said Kejriwal intentionally targeted the BJP to establish his secular credentials.
