New Delhi: Subham Goel, a 22-year-old Indian American, is the youngest candidate running for the Governor of California.
Shubham is a graduate in economics and cinema from the University of California. He has been working with a virtual reality company after graduating last year, the Times of India reported.
Last week, he was seen holding a mic in hand and campaigning at the Santa Monica Pier. “My solution of GovBook, transparent & digitalised profiles for all office holders in California, will be an effective solution at combating corruption,” Shubham said in his speech.
This techie currently lives in Danville California but has his roots in Uttar Pradesh. Shubham’s father Vipul Goel is from Lucknow and owns a software company. His mother is from Meerut.
Shubham believes he is the right guy to succeed Jerry Brown, the Democrat Governor. He is putting to use his expertise in virtual reality to reach out to the public. “I think virtual reality technology will change the world and solve educational issues in California,” he was quoted as saying by TOI.
He said also said he wants to create awareness for the Indian community in the decision-making process.
