Be it a birthday or greetings on festivals, Prime Minister Narendra Modi makes it a point to make his present felt on the social media and sends his best wishes to people on Twitter. Likewise, the PM on Friday wished Afghanistan president Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai a 'happy birthday'.
However, the Twitter-savvy PM met with an embarrassment on the social media when Ghani replied to his tweet saying he was thankful for the wishes but it was 'not' his birthday.
The reason for the error might have been that the Afghan President's birth date according to Google and some other websites is February 12.
@narendramodi Greetings from Munich Mr. PM. Although, my Birthday is on 19th May, but I'd still like to thank you for your gracious words :)— Ashraf Ghani (@ashrafghani) February 12, 2016
Nevertheless, Twitterattis got their moment to troll and the micro-blogging site was soon abuzz with reactions over the faux pas.
