London: Actress Jessica Alba, who is parent to two kids, says motherhood was a risk as it required her to put her career on hold, which she found scary.
The 33-year-old actress, who has daughters Honor, six, and Haven, three, with husband Cash Warren, says it was difficult to take some time away from her Hollywood career in favour of starting a family when she was 28, reported Contactmusic.
"Even becoming a mother was risky. It meant cooling off from this business, which was all I had known my entire life. I had to peace-out at 28, completely shift my priorities, and not be apologetic and not care about the consequences," she said.
Alba, however, believes she changed a lot when she turned 30 in 2011. "After I turned 30, I became more daring as a woman. Having a successful company had a hand in that. I've set my priorities in a different place, with my children and my family. I dared to look at projects outside of Hollywood, and I'm so happy that I did," she said.
