Mumbai: Days after the Manipuri woman was attacked last week in Mumbai, her family has alleged that she was assaulted, molested, kicked and dragged by her hair by a man.
The incident happened in Santacruz and the family has alleged that none of the onlookers came forward to help her.
However, eyewitnesses have said that they tried to stop the attacker but he was too violent.
Police say they have registered an FIR in the case.
According to sources, initially the complainant did not say that her clothes were torn off. It was only in the additional statement that this details emerged. Preliminary report suggests that the accused is mentally unstable.
"My sister came out with one of her room mate to buy something. A guy started beating my sisiter, pulling her, slapped her and he even torn her clothes. People saw everything but no on one came for help," the victim's sister said.
