CHENNAI: Chennai National Institute of Design, an acclaimed multi-disciplinary design institute, announced the design workshop, ‘Introduction to Design: Issues and Methods’ on to be on August 10-12 at NID campus, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The industry programme and projects at NID integrates design knowledge and education along with with the varied segments of industry, commerce and service sectors. The programme focuses on experience and developing a basic understanding of design methods to give an exposure to design thinking and to develop a basic understanding of design methods, user-centric design, collective idea generation methods, design issues and thinking in modern context. It also aims to give the participants a hands-on experience in the various user understanding and collective idea generation methods. The workshop will be conducted by experienced faculty and other distinguished design professionals and experts. The three-day programme will be highly intensive, so participants are requested to keep all the evenings, excluding the first day, free for the workshop sessions.Participation will be limited to a maximum of 15 to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis.The workshop will take place at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. Registration and fees is Rs 10,000 to be paid before one week of the programme in favour of National Institute of Design, payable at Ahmadabad.
