Jammu: One terrorist was killed and 2 soldiers were injured on Monday morning in a gunbattle in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.
The militant has been identified as Sadam Hussain Mir.
Police said a gunbattle started after midnight between holed up militants and the security forces in Wangam village of Shopian district.
A joint team of 62 Rashtriya Rifles and the JK Police launched an operation last night after receiving specific information about untoward elements.
One AK 47 rifle along with other ammunition and warlike stores were also recovered.
As per latest updates the operation has ended.
