New Delhi: Oppo has announced the launch of its two new phones in India - Find 7 and Find 7a. The 4G-enabled Oppo Find 7 is claimed to be the first smartphone in India that sports a 5.5-inch inch Quad HD screen with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and 538 ppi display.
According to Oppo, the Find 7 comes with the VOOC fast charging technology i.e., a five minute charge allows the Find 7 to support a two-hour call. A 30 minute charge gets the Find 7 to 75 per cent of full battery. The smartphone runs its proprietary OS called ColorOS. Powered by Qualcomm's 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 Quad Core (MSM8974AC) processor, the Find 7 has an expandable storage of up to 128GB.
The Find 7 is equipped with the latest stacked IMX214 CMOS sensor from Sony and has a 13 megapixel camera. The Find 7 also gives users a video experience at 4K resolution with HDR and slow motion capabilities. It has 3 GB RAM, 3,000 mAh battery, a 5 megapixel front camera and go on sale from next month.
The Find 7a features 2.3 Ghz processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB memory (expandable up to 128 GB) and 2,800 mAh battery.
The Find 7 is priced at Rs 37990, while the Find 7a costs Rs 31990 in India.
The firm also aggressively plans to expand its retail presence across the country with 5,000 retail points this year from the existing 1,000.
Oppo made its entry into the Indian market in early 2014 with its flagship device OPPO N1. Besides the OPPO N1, the company's current India portfolio includes the Oppo R1, Oppo Find 5 mini, Oppo Neo, Oppo Yoyo, Oppo Joy and the new Oppo Find 7.
Recently, OPPO announced its plans for an aggressive sales and service network expansion in India with a target of over 200 service centres in the next one year. The company is targeting a mix of at least 10 products that cover the price range from below Rs 10,000 to around Rs 40,000 this year.
