P C George expresses concern

KOTTAYAM: Government chief whip P C George on Sunday expressed concern over   the Orthodox Church’s plan to picket the residence of Chief Minister Oommen   Chandy seeking settlement of the Kolencherry church issue. “The action is condemnable. Though, I support their stand on the issue, I   am totally against their plan to take out a march to the Chief Minister’s  residence,” he told reporters here. George said the two factions fighting for the church itself went against the  very basic tenet of Christianity. George said he had no plans to quit as chief whip as party chief K M Mani had not said anything against his move.
