HYDERABAD: The Osmania University Arts College principal was attacked on Friday by a post-graduate student for reportedly refusing the latter permission to write his examination at an alternative place.Dattatreya is a MA student of PG College, Secunderabad and was attending his third semester examinations. According to OU officials, PG students are eligible to write an inter-disciplinary subject and nearly 100 students from various Osmania-affiliated colleges had come to write the journalism exam at the Arts College. Dattatreya and some others demanded they be allowed to write the exam on the first floor as the ground floor was congested. Suspecting the students might resort to copying, college principal Keshava Narayana rejected their demand. An argument broke out and in a fit of rage, Dattatreya kicked Keshava Narayana on the stomach. Journalism head Narender Reddy and other professors were also allegedly attacked by Dattareya.
