Reliance Industries Limited Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant got married to pharmaceutical heiress and childhood sweetheart Radhika Merchant, 29, daughter of Viren and Shaila Merchant, at a star-studded event attended by celebrities, politicians, film stars and cricketers on Friday. The ceremony was held at Mumbai’s Jio World Drive — a convention centre built and owned by the Ambani family.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of two twin tunnels between Thane and Borivali as well as the BMC’s Goregaon-Mulund Link Road and inaugurated developmental projects worth Rs 29,400 crore in Mumbai. The PM was felicitated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy CMs Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar. Shinde, Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, too, are present at the event.

Several dignitaries, including the Kardashians, Bachchans, A-list stars, politicians and seers, attended the Day 2 celebrations.

Videos of moments from the Shubh Aashirwad and wedding have gone viral on social media.

In attendance at the wedding were reality TV star Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloe, Nigerian rapper Rema, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, and global business tycoons ranging from oil giant Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser to Samsung Electronics chairman Jay Lee and drug major GSK plc chief executive Emma Walmsley, among others.
