Mumbai: Senior BJP leader Pramod Mahajan on Friday underwent a CT scan to assess his injuries.

The blood pressure medication being administered to him and ventilation support went up marginally as he is still critical.

"A CT scan was done to assess the injuries to Pramod Mahajan," said Director(Administration),

Hinduja Hospital, Anupam Verma.

There has been no change in the situation yet and the state of the injuries remain the same as they were during the surgery done on him.

"One bullet was located in the muscle of the back (Left paraspinal muscle L2), one in the subtutaneous tissue of

the back and the third bullet in the body of T12 vertrebra but it has not crossed to spinal canal," said Dr Verma.

Verma added that the bullets were not having any adverse effect on the body just yet and are not of immediate concern.

He also added that the requirement of blood pressure support drugs and ventilation have marginally gone

up over the night.

However, the rest of the treatment is continuing as before.

The other injuries of the liver and pancreas corelate to the earlier noted findings of the operation.

Verma said that there is fluid in the left side of the chest, which is being drained by an intercostal drain being put by Dr G B Devar and his team.

The BJP General Secretary was shot at and critically injured by his brother Praveen on Saturday. He received bullet injuries in liver, pancreas and small intestines.

Doctors earlier said Mahajan's organs would have to recover on their own.
