New Delhi: Apple introduced a smaller iPad, as expected, but also updated its full-sized one. With a screen measuring 7.9 inches on the diagonal, the iPad Mini is about half the size of the regular iPad. It's slightly larger than the 7-inch tablets from Amazon.com and Google The regular iPad is 9.7 inches.
It also unveiled new Mac computers, including a 13-inch version of a MacBook Pro with sharper, Retina display and thinner iMacs. The company also introduced the new Mac Mini.
Here is the pricing and availability list of all the new devices launched on Tuesday:
1. iPad Mini
Price: iPad mini with Wi-Fi will be available for $329 for the 16GB model, $429 for the 32GB model and $529 for the 64GB model. iPad mini with Wi-Fi + Cellular will be offered for $459 for the 16GB model, $559 for the 32GB model and $659 for the 64GB model.
Availability: iPad mini with Wi-Fi models will be available in black and slate or white and silver from Friday, November 2. The iPad mini with Wi-Fi + Cellular will start shipping a couple of weeks after the Wi-Fi models. The Apple iPad Mini will be initially released in 34 countries globally. The company has not yet said anything as to when the device will be available in India.
2. 4th generation iPad
Price: 4th generation iPad with WiFi will be available for $499 for the 16GB model, $599 for the 32GB model and $699 for the 64GB model. The fourth generation iPad with Wi-Fi + Cellular will be offered for $629 for the 16GB model, $729 for the 32GB model and $829 for the 64GB model.
Availability: The fourth generation iPad with Wi-Fi models will also be available from Friday, November 2, in black or white. The fourth generation iPad with Wi-Fi + Cellular will start shipping a couple of weeks after the Wi-Fi models. The company has not yet said anything as to when the device will be available in India.
3. 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display
Price: The 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display is available with a 2.5 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz, 8GB of memory and 128GB of flash storage starting at Rs 114,900, and with 256GB of flash storage starting at Rs 1,34,900.
Availability: The 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display is available in India through Apple Authorised Resellers.
4. New iMac
Price: The 21.5-inch new iMac is available in India with a 2.7 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.2 GHz for Rs 85,900, and with a 2.9 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.6 GHz and NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M for Rs 99,900. The 27-inch new iMac is available with a 2.9 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.6 GHz for Rs 1,22,900, and with a 3.2 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.6 GHz for Rs 1,34,900.
Availability: The 21.5-inch iMac will be available in November through Apple Authorised Resellers. The 27-inch iMac will be available in December through Apple Authorized Resellers.
5. Mac Mini
Price: The Mac mini is available with a 2.5 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz, 4GB of memory and a 500GB hard drive for Rs 39,900; a 2.3 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.3 GHz, 4GB of memory and a 1TB hard drive for Rs 52,900; and a 2.3 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.3 GHz, OS X Server, 4GB of memory and two 1TB hard drives for Rs 65,900.
