KOCHI: The state government on Friday submitted before the Kerala High Court that the probe into the trafficking of women to Sharjah had been completed.“Though the investigation has been completed, the probe team could not arrest some of the accused as they are living abroad. It is expected that they will be arrested in two weeks time,” the government submitted. The state further submitted that though the assistance of the Central Government was sought to arrest the accused living abroad, there had not been any steps in this regard.The High Court had in May, this year, directed Thiruvananthapuram Range IG K Padmakumar to investigate the case. A petition in this connection was filed by Sheeja Azis, who managed to escape from the clutches of the racket in the UAE.
