KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Monday directed the state government to produce the case diary of the criminal case filed against Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty and K A Rauf on the basis of the disclosures made by the latter in connection with the ice cream parlour sex scandal case. A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice J Chelameswar and Justice P R Ramachandra Menon passed the order on a petition filed by Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan seeking a CBI probe into the case. The government informed the court that the case diary and the progress report would be submitted on Wednesday. But considering the convenience of the counsel for the petitioner, the court posted the case to September 22.Rajindar Sachar, senior Supreme Court lawyer, was counsel for Achuthanandan. “A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted to probe the case before the Assembly election. After the new government came to power, Kunhalikutty became the Industries Minister. Since then, there had been no progress in the investigation. It is essential that the investigation of the case be transferred to CBI,’’ Sachar submitted before the court.
