New Delhi: Rural Development Minister Nitin Gadkari has constituted a 19-member panel headed by national research professor R A Mashelkar to examine the best technologies concerning sanitation and drinking water in the country.
The panel will identify, evaluate and empanel the best technologies in drinking water and sanitation with a proven track record that can be classified as affordable, sustainable and scalable on a nationwide basis, officials in the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation said.
The committee will review the advantages and disadvantages of each technology and suggest appropriate affordable technology to the states.
