BANGALORE: Young doctors today should think like Dr Sharadkumar Dixit, who has been redesigning the lives of poor Indians through free cleft lips, cleft palates, and facial scars surgeries for the last few decades, despite his own debilitating health, said Law Minister S Suresh Kumar. Speaking at the graduation day ceremony of  Government Homeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Suresh Kumar said, “In Allopathy, the treatment starts only after one gets affected by the disease, unlike in Homeopathy, where the doctors get to the root cause of the disease and can prevent it beforehand. The students should realise the importance and contribute more to the field.”Afshan Tabassum, from Yadgir was awarded the gold medal for the year 2011-12. Principal of the Government Homoeopathic Medical College Dr A L Patil said, “ With the allocation of `10 crore last year, the construction work of the post graduate college for homeopathy is half complete.” Principal Secretary to Govt of Karnataka K H Gopalkrishna Gowda, Director of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) B N Srikantaiah, BBMP councilor of Dasarahalli agrahara Roopa Devi were present.
