HYDERABAD: Unidentified persons stole Rs 6 lakh cash and 20 tola gold ornaments from a police constable's house on Monday.According to police, the incident took place at an Armed Reserved constable's house at Narasimhanagar. The miscreants broke into the house while the constable's family members had gone to Karimnagar for their younger daughter's wedding reception. Police said the constable Yadgiri, lodged a complaint on Monday morning to Banjara Hills police that unidentified persons gained entry into his house and decamped with Rs 6 lakh cash and 20 tola gold ornaments. Yadgiri's family had gone to Karimnagar for their younger daughter Sucharita's marriage held on November 4. After attending their daughter's reception function on Sunday, they reached their home on Monday morning. After reaching home, the constable noticed the lock of the main door was broken and Rs 6 lakh and 20 tola gold ornaments was missing.
Based on Yadgiri's complaint, police registered a case under section 457/380 (burglary) and investigation is on.
