New Delhi: Come March and the country will be a riot of colours. With Holi around the corner, preparations for the festival have already started in Mathura, the land of Radha-Krishna.
The administration has decided to take all precautions this year, with extra force being requisitioned from Agra range, said Senior Superintendent of Police Prasant Kumar.
"Elaborate arrangements are being made for Lathamar holi of Barsana falling on February 25 this year. Preparations are on to welcome Panda, representative of players of Nandgaon, who will play Holi on February 24 with laddus (sweet). It is an indication that Holi has started and menfolk of Nandgaon will come to play Holi the following day," the head of Ladli temple of Barsana, Ram Bharose Goshwami, reported to PTI.
