Severe heat waves sweep Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, many reported dead
The IMD has warned people of severe heat wave conditions for next three days in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Hyderabad: In Telangana, 21 people have died due to sun stroke and heat wave conditions in last one month says a data from April 15 May 15. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states reeling under severe heat wave conditions for the past two months.

The IMD has warned people of severe heat wave conditions for next three days in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

In Telangana heat wave conditions prevailed in districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Medak, Warangal, Hyderabad, Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar. Nizamabad, Nalgonda and Ramagundem saw blistering heat with temperature rising to 46 degrees. Adilabad at 45, Mehboobnagar at 44 and Hyderabad at 43 degree Celsius have become open ovens for the people.

In Andhra Pradesh heat wave conditions prevailed over some parts in the districts of Krishna, Guntur, Prakasham and Nellore of Coastal Andhra Pradesh. The highest Maximum Temperature of 45 degree Celsius was recorded at Kavali, Nandigama, Ongole and Vijayawada.

In an advisory, the state government has warned people of a heat wave and advised them on how to keep themselves protected, as day temperature expected to go up three to six degrees above average.
