Sonia Gandhi addressed students of public policy in Beijing.
New Delhi: India and China have different perspectives on bilateral and global issues, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi admitted in an address to students of public policy at Beijing's Tsinghua University on Saturday.
Without getting into details on the border dispute, strategic competition and the race for energy resources, she stressed the importance of talking frankly to each other to clear misconceptions and doubts.
She said pragmatism and self-interest should guide bilateral relations. On Friday, she called on Premier Wen Jia Bao and the high point of her visit was when she called on President Hu Jintao, who said both countries working together could change the face of Asia.
