India's win at Indore proved again that new players can be depended upon. Chasing 289 without Virender Sehwag and Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a tough ask. I think India's chase was fantastic considering that the batting line-up was a bit inexperienced today.

Debutant Robin Uthappa was asked to open and he fit the bill perfectly. I think his knock was fantastic. He gave India a great start and never looked in trouble. He was never nervous and played his natural game. Uthappa's confidence helped India to maintain a steady run rate.

For support Uthappa had the most calculating batsman in the game: Rahul Dravid. The captain supported the debutant and took the pressure off him. Dravid was Uthappa's guide and must have told him: "Play your natural game and don't play silly shots."

This boy is very good! He played shots all over the field today and showed that he can blast the ball anywhere.

When Uthappa was run out for 86 it reminded me of the way I got out in my debut. India can use this Uthappa as an opening batsman. Suresh Raina played a useful knock and proved that he is a gritty player.

Man of the Series Yuvraj Singh is going from strength to strength. Man of the match in three ODIs in this series plus today he balled well and took a very, very crucial wicket.
I think Indian bowlers did well today. On a flat wicket, you have to ball cleverly but without deviating the ball.

S Sreesanth did just that. VRV Singh going for 73 in seven overs shows his inexperience. He tried too many things with the ball and the English batsmen murdered him.
