HYDERABAD: Telangana Congress MPs have decided to launch a fast-unto-death if the Centre does not begin the process for formation of separate Telangana state within two days.Even as the Central Congress leaders were busy holding discussions with several state leaders, including chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Union ministers S Jaipal Reddy, MM Pallam Raju, D Purandeswari, APCC president Botcha Satyanarayana and former PCC chief D Srinivas, in Delhi on Saturday on the contentious Telangana issue, the Telangana Congress MPs went into a huddle to discuss their future course of action.Talking to newsmen later, MPs Madhu Yashki Goud, Ponnam Prabhakar, P Balaram Naik, G Vivek and S Rajaiah asserted that they would launch a united struggle by joining hands with other political parties and people’s organisations of Telangana region for the T cause.“Government employees have got the right to strike for a cause. We will also join Sakala Janula Samme. The government should pay salaries to all the striking employees. An indefinite hunger strike will be launched if there is no favourable statement from the Centre on Telangana issue,” Madhu Yashki said.MP Prabhakar said the Congress high command should either announce a roadmap for Telangana formation or accept their resignations submitted to the Lok Sabha Speaker a few months ago. Governor ESL Narasimhan should place ‘facts’ (the real situation in Telangana region due to Sakala Janula Samme) before the Centre to enable the latter to take a proper decision on the T issue, he said.MP G Vivek alleged that the governor was submitting ‘false reports’ to the Centre on the Telangana issue.A complaint would be made to the President of India seeking action against the governor for ‘misleading’ the Centre on the Telangana issue, he said.
