Text of Suresh Kalmadi's letter on CWG scam investigations

Full text of Indian Olympic Association President Suresh Kalmadi letter on the ongoing investigations in the Commonwealth Games scam:

The officers of the Organising Committee have always co-operated with the investigating agencies, making all documents available to them and presenting themselves at the CBI offices whenever called.

The etire focus is on members of the Organising Committee who have been sports administrators. Others who worked hard for years to ensure the success of the Games have been singied out in the investigation.

CBI is ignoring the fact that decisions have been made at various levels -- Finance Committee, Finance Sub-Committee and the Executive Board -- and not at individual levels.

Above all, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sport has always been in the decision making process.

There has been no apparent interrogation of Government officers who have been part of, if not overseen the whole process.

Such steps will discourage self respecting sports officers from taking up the task of bringing world class events to India.
