London: Actor Matthew McConaughey deserves an Oscar award for his special appearance in 'The Wolf of Wall Street', according to producers of the film, Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland.
Aziz and McFarland were so amazed with the five-minute performance by McConaughey in the movie that they wish the actor be honoured with an Oscar award, reported Contactmusic.
"If you could have a Best Supporting Actor nomination for a five-minute scene, he (McConaughey) would definitely have to be a shoe-in for that," said Aziz.
McFarland said, "Martin Scorsese and Ellen Lewis, our casting director, one of their strongest points is bringing the right actors to the roles.
"Matthew's had an amazing year with 'Mud', 'Dallas Buyers Club' and now 'Wolf of Wall Street'. He was the perfect fit. What he did for the Mark Hanna role was larger than life and more than anyone expected," he said.
44-year-old McConaughey had a five minute appearance in Scorsese helmed 'The Wolf of Wall Street' which stars Leonardo DiCaprio in lead and released in December last year.
