BANGALORE: “A wrong message is being spread through the media about mixing of chemicals and other things in milk. This has tarnished the image of the Bangalore Dairy and milk producers union,” opined D S Jayanna, president of Bangalore Milk Producers Union.He was speaking at the inauguration of a two-day state-level training programme for officials of milk producers unions of Bangalore District, rural Co-operative union and Ramanagaram District Milk producers society here.He said the union believes that it has been doing service to the public and it does not have an intention to make money like private sectors. Jayanna said the union supervisors and officials are trying to stop farmers from selling milk to neighbouring states and they have issued notices to such milk producers. “If farmers continue this, the state’s milk federation will take action”, he warned.Karnataka Housing Board Chairman G T Deve Gowda, directors Aaradya and Venkategowda, Managing Director H Jayadev, Hanumanthegowda and other officials from across the state were present during the inauguration programme.
