Although the condition couldn’t be reversed, as per Indian Express, two people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s claim to have conquered the disease through simple lifestyle changes in the US.

Here are a few strategies to help manage Alzheimer’s early:

  1. Right Food – Ditch sugary drinks, processed snacks and fatty foods. Instead, fill your stomach with healthy food items like fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, whole grains, fish and chicken, and healthy oils. This healthy eating plan keeps your blood sugar balanced, which is fantastic for brain health.
  2. Workout – Exercise doesn’t just keep you healthy and your body in presentable shape, it’s also an essential workout for your brain. At least 30 minutes of activity daily can lead to positive results. Slow walking, swimming or dancing are also great options, alongside strength training exercises for an extra boost.
  3. Medicine – Start with a multivitamin and mineral supplement. They provide all the essential nutrients your body needs to function properly. However, it’s always important to consult your doctor for personalised advice on which supplements are suitable.
  4. Stay Calm – Constant stress can have a negative impact on your memory. Find healthy ways to relax and manage stress, such as deep breathing exercises, meditation or yoga. Taking some time to release work stress daily can be beneficial for your overall well-being.
  5. Proper Sleep – When you don’t get enough sleep, your brain can’t function properly. It is always advisable to sleep for at least 7-8 hours for quality sleep each night. This allows your brain to recharge.
