With the hometown advantage, Hungary took the gold trophy at the European edition of the prestigious cooking competition, Bocuse d'Or, securing their place at the grand finale next year.
In Budapest this week, Team Hungary out-cooked 19 other teams from countries throughout Europe to take the top spot at the winner's podium.
Norway took silver and Sweden the bronze trophy.
Led by Tamas Szell, the winning team prepared a dish themed as a Hungarian spring forest, using venison with Hungarian spices and mushrooms, along with lobster and sturgeon with garlic and beurre noisette.
