Alia Bhatt is making sure praises and accolades go to the ones who truly earned them. This time, the Gangubai actress made sure that she recognised and gave a shoutout to the Indian para-athletes who have once again brought pride to the nation at the Paris Paralympics 2024. So far, athletes Avani Lekhara, Mona Agarwal, Manish Narwal and Preeti Pal have all won medals for India. Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram stories today and shared a collage of the four athletes and congratulated them. The actress who is currently busy with her upcoming spy thriller film, Alpha, also shared a heartwarming note.

“Congratulations, stars! 4 medals are home!” Alia wrote in the story she shared.

Among the sportspersons she congratulated, Avani Lekhara and Manish Narwal have secured gold and silver medals, respectively, in their shooting events. Avani Lekhara successfully defended her gold medal in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1. Mona Agarwal, who debuted in the Olympics earned a bronze medal.

Manish Narwal claimed silver in the men’s 10m air pistol SH1 and Preeti Pal made history by winning bronze in the Women’s T25-100m, marking the first time an Indian para-athlete has achieved this feat, at the Paris Paralympics 2024.

Before Alia’s acknowledgement, several other Bollywood stars, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonali Bendre, Rakul Preet Singh, Ayushmann Khurrana and Sonu Sood, had also applauded the dedication and hard work of the para-athletes.

On the professional front, Alia Bhatt will soon be seen alongside actress Sharvari Wagh in Alpha. The duo is filming in the beautiful valleys of Kashmir, from where they recently shared a sneak peek of the set on social media. In a delightful photo, the two actresses are seen standing arm-in-arm, forming a heart shape, with misty pine trees in the background adding to the enchanting ambience of the scene.

Alia dressed in a cream jacket and Sharvari in a stylish black leather jacket, effortlessly blend with the breathtaking natural surroundings. The post was sweetly captioned, “Love, ALPHA.”

Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha is set to be the latest addition to the YRF Spy Universe, which includes blockbusters like Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Hrithik Roshan-starrer War.
