Arshad Warsi criticised Kalki 2898 AD. The actor said he didn't like the film and compared Prabhas with a 'joker'.

Arshad Warsi said Prabhas looked like a ‘joker’ in Kalki 2898 AD. The actor was asked to name a recent film he watched and didn’t like. The Golmaal star named Kalki 2898 AD. Arshad said that while he loved Amitabh Bachchan’s performance as Ashwatthama in the Nag Ashwin directorial, he was not impressed by Prabhas’ look. He added that Prabhas should have been made to look like Mel Gibson.

“I watched Kalki 2898 AD which I didn’t like. Mujhe bahut takleef hoti hai jab… Amit ji was unbelievable! I cannot understand that man. I swear, jitna power unmein hai, thoda sa mil jaaye toh life ban jaaye. He’s unreal,” Arshad said in the podcast, Unfiltered by Samdish.

“Prabhas, I am really sad but, why was he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max yaar, I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana diya yaar. Kyun karte hai aisa mujhe nahi samaj mein aata hai (What have you made it. Why do filmmakers do this, I will never understand),” Arshad added.

Kalki 2898 AD is one of the biggest hits of the year. The film collected over Rs 1100 Cr worldwide, shattering several box office records in less than a month of its release. The film stars Amitabh, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan in the lead. The film also featured cameos by SS Rajamouli, Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salman, and Ram Gopal Varma. Nag Ashwin is currently preparing for the second part of the film.

Meanwhile, Arshad shared he enjoyed Srikanth. The actor praised Rajkummar Rao as well. “I saw Srikanth which I liked it a lot, Rajkummar is outstanding in it,” Arshad said.
