Dakota Johnson faced a wardrobe malfunction while attending an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. On June 19, the Madame Web actress marked her presence at the popular celebrity chat show for the promotions of her upcoming film Daddio. Directed by Christy Hall, the American drama also stars Sean Paul in the lead. The film is slated to hit the silver screens on June 28. Mid-interview with television host Jimmy Kimmel, Dakota Johnson’s dress “fell off” as one of the straps on the dress broke. But, the actress who encountered similar situations in the past, handled the matter with sheer confidence.
The incident occurred when Jimmy Kimmel was showing the audience a clip from Daddio, reported People. During the session, Dakota Johnson was seen struggling with the straps of her ensemble. She donned a black slip dress featuring metallic straps, adorned with floral embellishments. One of the straps appeared to be broken leading Johnson to hold her outfit in place, lest the dress came off. Noticing the actress adjusting the straps, a concerned Kimmel asked, “Part of your dress just came unhooked. You all right?” The actress dealt with the malfunction quite maturely and replied, “My dress just, it just fell off. Well, I’ll just hold it,” with a laugh.

Jimmy Kimmel joked that Dakota Johnson needed to “hold the important part” of her dress which prompted the actress to place her hands over her chest to keep the bodice in place. Holding that pose, Johnson joked, “The movie (Daddio) is really good,” seemingly taking the circumstance light-heartedly. Like an expert, she was able to hold the straps together throughout the interaction. Unfazed, she answered all the questions related to her yet-to-be-released film.
This is not the first time that Dakota Johnson encountered a wardrobe mishap. Previously while accepting an award at the 2016 People’s Choice Awards for the favorite dramatic movie actress category, she experienced an identical situation. While sharing a hug with presenter Leslie Mann, Johnson’s Armani Privé Couture crop top came undone while on stage. “Leslie just broke my dress. Well, it’s not like nobody here hasn’t already seen my boobs,” she said jokingly, presumably indicating her intimate scenes with co-star Jamie Dornan in the Fifty Shades film franchise.
