Salman Khan was spotted arriving at Lilavati Hospital in the wee hours of Sunday, visibly shaken by the tragic news of his close friend Baba Siddique’s death. Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister and senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), was shot and killed by three unidentified assailants in Bandra East. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he was tragically declared brought dead.
Deeply affected by the loss, Salman quickly cancelled the shoot of Bigg Boss 18 Weekend Ka Vaar to be with Siddique’s family during this difficult time. Arriving with a heavy security detail, Salman’s expression showed his grief and anger over the situation. As he made his way into the hospital, he was surrounded by paparazzi, which visibly frustrated him. He shook his head in disapproval, clearly upset by their presence at such a sensitive moment.
Baba Siddique was not just a political figure; he was also a beloved friend to many in the film industry. His passing has left a significant void in the lives of those who knew him, especially Salman, who was a regular at Siddique’s well-known Iftar parties.
The news of Siddique’s death has sent shockwaves throughout Bollywood, with many stars expressing their condolences and support for his family.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also visited the hospital late night. During a press conference, he addressed the public, stating that two individuals had already been arrested in connection with the shooting of Baba Siddique. The Chief Minister promised that the case would be handled in a fast-track court, ensuring swift justice for the family. “This is an extremely unfortunate incident, and I spoke to the doctors and police. Two people have been arrested; the accused are from UP and Haryana. The third accused is absconding. We have instructed Mumbai Police to take strict action against those who take the law and order into their hands… I am sure that Mumbai police will soon arrest the third accused,” he assured.
