The popular production banner Dream Warrior Pictures, which has backed films like Kaithi and Farhana, recently announced a new film. The Tamil movie is titled Anjaamai and will feature actors Vidaarth and Vani Bhojan.
The first look of Anjaamai was released by the makers yesterday. It showed lead actors Vidaarth and Vani Bhojan posing happily with two kids on their laps. They look like a happy family. In the background, one can see the headlines of a newspaper reporting on the loss of lives due to the NEET exam and the shattered dreams of poor students. There is also a fiery element. Judging by the first look, the film is expected to tackle the NEET exams and its impact.

Written and directed by SP Subburaman, Anjaamai is said to be a social drama that will address relevant issues plaguing society. The plot of the film is kept under wraps. Besides Vidaarth and Vani Bhojan, the film also stars veteran actor Rahman in a lead role. The film is produced by Dr M Thirunavukarasu MD.
The technical crew of the upcoming film includes Raghav Prasad, who is composing the music, and Arivumathi, Karthik Netha, Arun Bharathi and the director, who are penning the lyrics. The background score is by Kala Charan and Karthick has scored Anjaamai. Ramsudharshan and GC Anandhan are the editor and the art director, respectively. Anjaamai will be released in June. However, a release date has not been announced yet.
Meanwhile, Vidaarth was last seen in the horror thriller Devil opposite Poorna and Thrigun, which was released earlier this year. On the other hand, Vani Bhojan, who has been seen in films like Oh My Kadavule and Malaysia to Amnesia, was last seen in Love, which will hit the theatres in 2023.
