Bollywood director Hansal Mehta called Telugu star Nandamuri Balakrishna a ‘scumbag’ after the latter pushed actress Anjali aside at a recent event. Nandamuri Balakrishna attended a pre-release event of Anjali’s upcoming film, ‘Gangs of Godavari’. In a video from the event gone viral, Balakrishna was seen pushing away Anjali on stage after she couldn’t hear him. The move has angered Hansal Mehta. Taking to X, he condemned the act.
“Who is this scumbag?” Hansal asked, while sharing the video of the incident. A social media user defended Balakrishna. Addressing Hansal, the user said, “They both have acted before with each other so they’ve that bonding, irrespective of age he had that friend kinda vibe with co stars, he’s the biggest star of Telugu film and industry and the son of great SR NTR and is the uncle of JR NTR, so before calling him a scum bag and all the words ur using think once and tweet before keeping a finger into someone’s life who is a star himself and PPL around know.”
Hansal reposted the message and wrote, “Scumbag x100.”

Many other social media users also condemned the action. “It’s crazy how so many people give him a free pass by saying sh*t like ‘it’s just balayya,’” a social media user wrote. Another one said, “A talented actress treated like sh*t.”
The incident took place earlier this week. Nandamuri Balakrishna joined Anjali and her ‘Gangs of Godavari’ co-stars Vishwak Sen and Neha Shetty. After Balakrishna pushed Anjali away, her co-star Neha was visibly shocked. Anjali seemingly calmed the situation by taking his gesture sportingly and started laughing. Though it’s not clear what the veteran actor told Anjali before pushing her away on stage.
On the work front, Balakrishna is currently making headlines for his big hits like ‘Akhanda’ and ‘Veerasimha Reddy’ and planning to join hands with director Boyapati Srinu for ‘Akhanda 2’. Meanwhile, Hansal has been working on his international project, Gandhi.
