Housefull 5: Akshay Kumar To Begin Film Shoot In UK Followed By 45-Day Schedule In Cruise

Housefull is one of the most popular movie franchises, and ever since its fifth installment was announced, fans have been eagerly waiting for it. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film stars Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Chunky Pandey in key roles. The buzz is that the film is all set to go on floors in August 2024.

A source close to the production house informed Pinkvilla that director Tarun Mansukhani is keen on taking Housefull 5 on floors in August in the UK. “The journey on Housefull 5 begins with a schedule in the UK in August. The franchise regulars, Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, will be joined by a big ensemble, and the casting is currently underway. Housefull 5 is touted to be the biggest franchise on the budget, casting, and content front.” He also revealed that a new dimension has been added to the world of Housefull.

The source further added, “The entire Housefull 5 gang will board a cruise sometime in September and shoot for key portions of the film over a 45-day schedule in the waters. This is the most exciting part of the film, as the franchise leaps by introducing the audience to a completely new world in the comics space. The entire confusion of this comic caper unfolds on a cruise, and producer Sajid Nadiadwala has blocked a lavish cruise for this mad-cap entertainer. Imagine the gang under the safe roof with no way to escape.”

Apart from this, Housefull is also the first Hindi cinema franchise to reach the 5th installment. All the films that have been released before have been super hits and have done exceptionally well at the box office. Housefull 5 is slated to hit the big screen on June 6, 2025. Rewrite this

The first Housefull movie was released in 2010 and starred Akshay Kumar with Jiah Khan, Arjun Rampal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta, and Chunky Panday in the lead. The second movie in the franchise hit theatres in 2012. On the other hand, Housefull 3 and 4 were released in 2016 and 2019, respectively. Housefull 5 will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani and hit theatres on Diwali 2024.
