Recently, a photo of a prominent filmmaker has been doing the rounds of social media. The photo which went viral, captures the director in his childhood years. Can you guess who this director is? He is none other than the director SS Rajamouli whose remarkable works have always entertained the audience. In the photograph, the Eega director is sitting on a chair and wearing a shirt and shorts while smiling for the camera. A photograph is placed against his backdrop.
He is known for crafting masterpieces like Eega, the Baahubali franchise, RRR, etc. Amongst these films, RRR created a lot of buzz around the globe. It was an action drama based on the lives of two freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. The film received positive reviews from critics and fans alike, and it collected Rs 1,389.31 crore worldwide. Jr NTR and Ram Charan played lead roles in this film. In addition, Ray Stevenson, Alia Bhatt, and Shriya Saran played important roles in the film.
According to the Times of India, director Rajamouli is currently working on the pre-production of SSMB 29 which stars Mahesh Babu in the lead. Nasser has been selected to teach the dialect to the cast and crew. Reports also suggest that actor Prithviraj Sukumaran will be playing the main villain in the film.
There were reports that prominent actor Chiyaan Vikram might also join the film’s star cast. Vikram talked about these reports at a press conference for his film Thangalaan in Hyderabad. He said,” The ‘Cobra’ actor said, “Yes, Rajamouli is a good friend of mine. We have been in talks for many years now. We will make a film sometime. But, we haven’t spoken about any film specifically.”
SS Rajamouli has been married to Rama Rajamouli since 2001. They have two children- SS Karthikeya from Rama’s first marriage and SS Mayookha, their adopted daughter.
