Indrans To Be Seen In A Never-Before Avatar In Rasheed Parakkal’s New Untitled Film
The film delves into the life of Kuttan, a villager from Thingalur, and falls under the family investigation genre.

The untitled Malayalam film, written and directed by Rasheed Parakkal and starring Indrans and Jaffar Idukki, was launched in Ottapalam, Kerala. This marks Ashraf Pilakkal’s fifth film under the banner of Manjadi Creations, following Bhagavathipuram, Third Day, Hello Dubaikaran, and White Man.

During the launch event, actors Indrans, Jaffar Idukki, Sunil Sukhada, Shaju Sridhar, and Priyanka, along with producer Ashraf Pilakkal, director Rasheed Parakal, and Chandana, participated in the lighting of the Bhadradeepam. Director Rasheed Parakkal then took over the script, while project designer Siraj Moonbeam clapped the slate. Hamid Manjadi conducted the pooja ceremony.

The film delves into the life of Kuttan, a villager from Thingalur, and falls under the family investigation genre. Indrans will portray a character in a never-before-seen avatar. Sunil Sukhada, Sreejith Ravi, and Anish G are also part of the cast. Additionally, Menon, Sumesh Moore, Shaju, Ashraf, Munshi Ranjith, Unni Raja, Sinoj Varghese, Akhila, Chandana, Arya Viju, and others are playing prominent roles in the yet-to-be-released film.

Indrans and Jaffar Idukki were last seen in the film Jackson Bazaar Youth. Although Jackson Bazaar Youth didn’t make a significant impact at the box office following its theatrical release on May 16, critics lauded the performances of its lead actors Indrans, Jaffer Idukki, and Lukman. The two seasoned actors, in particular, were commended for their compelling sequences in the film, which also features humour in the first half. However, some sections of the audience might find certain scenes of custodial torture too intense to watch.

Indrans rose to fame for his comedic roles in 1990s films such as CID Unnikrishnan BA, BEd and Aniyan Bava Chetan Bava. Despite his success in comedy, his aspiration was to be recognized as a serious actor, a goal he gradually attained. Indrans garnered acclaim for his recent portrayal of Oliver Twist in the film Home, directed by Rojin Thomas. The movie was honoured with the Best Malayalam Film Award at the 69th National Film Awards this year.
